COOKING TIPS

1. Keep green onion fresh in the refrigerator for at least two weeks. Rinse and dry the green onions. Cut the roots and trim the tops a little bit. Place them in a seal a bag and blow a little air inside the bag, then seal it.

2. Cut your pizza with a pizza cutter or a knife that has been sprayed with non stick cooking spray. You will see that the cheese does not stick.

3. If you get teary eyed when you cut onions, you can wear plastic protective shop glasses when you do the chopping. No more tears,- it really works.

4. Spoon rests come in all shapes and colors, they can be made of plastic, ceramic or metal. If you want an edible spoon rest, use a slice of your favorite bread. It keeps your working surface clean and you have a tasty treat to give to your favorite family member.

5. To keep your cutting board from sliding while your chopping, place it over nonskid matting. (Rubbermaid makes it). You can cut it according to the size of the board.

If you should have a short cut or a technique that is helpful I would like to hear from you.
